Thermodynamics is the study of energy transformations.  Biological thermodynamics concerns the thermodynamics of living organisms, parts of living organisms, and entire ecosystems.

Biological Thermodynamics is an undergraduate/graduate textbook by Professor Don Haynie.  The work is published by Cambridge University Press.  The first edition appeared in 2001.  The second edition will be available from March 2008.
